about

The Great Western Highway runs from Sydney, Australia, right over the Blue Mountains. It still bears sandstone markers from its early days. Larger freeway networks have left the historical road forgotten in places.

lyrics

Early Morning, Sun's still down
and I'm driving, away from town
Away from town, away from town
and I'm driving, away from town

Western Highway's there from old
now it's nothing but dark and cold
dark and cold, dark and cold
now it's nothing but dark and cold

Oh my baby, didn't you say
That tonight you'd let me stay
Oh my darling, isn't it time
that you let me change your mind ?

Love to win, hate to lose
Hate those Western Highway Blues
Highway blues, highway blues
hate those Western Highway Blues
